130 years ago, the story of La Mère Poulard. In 1888, Annette Poulard opened her inn in the heart of the

Mont Saint-Michel to welcome pilgrims and offer them a little warmth by preparing a wood-fired omelette, the recipe for which has endured ever since.

Since then, this recipe has gone around the world, and many celebrities have come to taste it on Mont Saint-Michel intramuros.

Candidates in our presidential elections made the journey during their election campaigns to sample the "omelette porte-bonheur des Présidents".

Numerous religious figures, royalty, actors, singers and other world-famous stars passed through the Auberge.

With more than 700 recipes, Annette Poulard perpetuated the French culinary tradition internationally, earning her the honorary title of " Mère Poulard ".

Over the past 130 years, the company's success has continued to grow, and to date over 18 million omelettes from

Mère Poulard " tasting at Mont Saint Michel.

Every year, 75,000 guests come to the Auberge La Mère Poulard to savor the symbol of the place, whose production is admired by all.

The recipe was even exported to Japan and South Korea, where the La Mère Poulard Group opened restaurants perpetuating the French culinary tradition.
