of Mère Poulard
Young Annette has come a long way from the small house in central France where she was born. she was born! First, her arrival in Paris as chambermaid to architect Édouard Corroyer, a former student of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc. Corroyer, a former pupil of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, where she exercised her talents as a family cook.
Then his discovery of Mont-Saint-Michel at the age of twenty-one, and his meeting with Victor Poulard Poulard, the baker's son: "He has beautiful blue eyes, a great kindness and he's hard-working!" The opening of her inn in 1888, soon followed by fame in France and around the world. Annette Poulard became "La Mère Poulard", an honorary title awarded to France's greatest cooks in France at the time. In French, the words "mère", "mer" and "Mère "Mother" have the same pronunciation, but three different meanings: la maman, l'étendue d'eau of water, the talented cook. Annette was a loving mother who adored children. lived and worked on an island surrounded by the sea at the whim of the tides; and she was also a talented cook.
Today, La Mère Poulard is one of the great great figures of the history of Mont-Saint-Michel, a marvel of the West, classified as a masterpiece of natural and cultural world heritage natural and cultural heritage.
